The TWC course will provide delegates who have responsibility for managing all forms of temporary works with the knowledge and confidence to engage with contractors, to reach an assessed standard of knowledge. Delegates will also gain knowledge of risk assessments, method statements and best codes of practice on temporary structures or building sites and how to manage the process.
The TWS course is suitable for agents, supervisors, managers and senior managers who are involved with the planning, procurement and management of temporary works.
Accreditation – CITB
Duration – 2 days
Grant – you can claim up to £70 if you provide us with your CITB Levy number.
Validation – TWC certificates are valid for 5 years, no refresher is available for this and you are required resit the course again to renew your certificate.
Entry requirements – The delegate is to be proficient in English (written and oral) and have sufficient experience and knowledge of temporary works.
Additional information –
Course objectives, by the end of the course the delegate will:
– have an understanding the need for a temporary works co-ordinator.
– gained knowledge of the day to day roles of others involved in the temporary works procedures.
– have an understanding of risk assessments and method statements
– understand the best procedures as stated in BS5975:2008 + A1:2011
To successfully complete the TWC course you will need to get 72% or above in the final exam.
