The Fire Marshal/warden training course gives the delegates an understanding of how to deal with fire hazards and how to lower risk in the workplace in the event of an emergency. The training is vital to assure the safety of yourself and your colleagues. The course is designed to further the delegates knowledge on how to do this and by working within the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
The tutor covers the following topics over the duration of the training: a fire Warden / Marshal’s responsibilities, the built-in fire-related fire protection components of a premises, the relevant fire safety law, how to act on the occasion of a fire alarm, combustion and the relevant checks during an evacuation, the different types of fire including arson, prevention of fire spreading and safety signs.
This course is suitable for delegates who work in any sector who are the designated fire warden/marshal or have the responsibility for fire conduct.
Accreditation – Akan Technical Training
Duration – 1/2 day
Validation – there is no expiry on the accident investigation certificate, however it is highly recommended you take a refresher every 2-3 years to keep up to date with any legislative and procedural changes.
Entry requirements – there are no formal entry requirements. However, the delegate is to be proficient in English (written and oral).
